    Responsibilities

    - Writing engaging posts across the companies' social media platform keeping in line with the companies tone, target audience and consistent marketing message.

    - Developing and producing ideas for long term content plans for social media, web and content marketing campaigns

    - Planning and writing blog posts and articles to suit the target audience and to support marketing campaigns for certain products and seasonal focuses

    - Plan and monitor company presence on social media

    - Understanding of SEO highly beneficial and implementation of links, meta descriptions and keyword targeting.

    - Develop, plan and implement the business marketing strategy

    - Use and understand KPI's to modify strategies and underperforming areas

    - Work with site development team to enhance usability

    The Kelling Estate are recruiting for a Hotel Receptionist at The Pheasant Hotel, situated in the beautiful village of Kelling, close the Historic Georgian Town of Holt in North Norfolk.

    Set on the spectacular North Norfolk coast, The Pheasant Hotel is the perfect destination for a holiday, with luxurious accommodation and delicious food.

    Required on a Permanent Full time or part-time basis, a Hotel Receptionist. You will responsible for the meeting and greeting of guests, working on a busy reception desk with the reception team and maintaining a professional room booking service.

    Key Responsibilities will include:

    · To take reservations via telephone correctly and in a courteous manner.

    · To process reservations received by e-mail or via online booking outlets correctly.

    · To pre-allocate rooms, in line with guests specific reservation requests.

    · To update the occupancy list, giving copies to the necessary departments.

    · To ensure that guests are greeted and checked in promptly and courteously.

    · To ensure that check-in procedures are strictly adhered to.

    · To issue key cards to guests, and explain the room charging procedures.

    · To be readily available during check in and check out periods to deal with problems or complaints.

    · To ensure that all charges are correctly entered on the guest’s bill and that this is up to date at all times.

    · To ensure effective and speedy check-out facilities.

    · To ensure that enquiries, messages etc. are dealt with courteously and efficiently.

    · To ensure that newspapers and deliveries are delivered to the rooms without delay.

    · To ensure that incoming and outgoing telephone calls are handled promptly and courteously.

    · To wear any uniform provided, and comply with the Company Dress Code at all times.

    You will be required to work a mixture of shifts, both early and late. This will also include working weekends and bank holidays on a rota system.

    Job Summary: Responsible for the production and presentation of cuisine. To prepare dishes according to guest and menu requirements and maintain a high standard of production, quality, presentation and cleanliness laid down by the business owners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Run and maintain a section of the Kitchen

    · To ensure that all preparation, production, dishes, specialized menu items are prepared on time and to the standard required as laid down by the business owners.

    · Prepare and store produce correctly and safely

    · To work across all kitchen areas as and when required.

    · To ensure that company Health & Safety, Food Safety And COSHH Legislations are adhered to

    · To maintain a high standard of hygiene required by the Food Safety Act 1990 & The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995

    · Assistance in ensuring all foods are prepared as close as possible to service times

    · To inform the Head Chef of any malfunction of catering equipment

    · Responsible for ensuring that all menu items are available throughout service times and after service for the next day

    · Economic and careful use of manually and mechanically operated equipment observing the guidelines specified in the Health and Safety Act 1993 at all times

    · Planned efficient use of cooking ranges

    · Assistance in the preparation of food for the restaurant and functions

    · Cleaning duties to maintain a tidy, clean and hygienic work environment

    · To be responsible for the general security of the company property, departmental keys and stock

    · Attend internal meetings where required

    · To clean agreed designated areas, in accordance with laid-down procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirements.

    · To change table linen as required and ensure dirty or damaged linen is counted and exchanged for clean, usable items.

    · To clean and refill cruet and condiment sets, order branded sauces and chutneys to ensure consistent supply.

    · To ensure that flowers and table decorations are fresh and comply with agreed standards.

    · To set tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair.

    · To ensure sideboards or stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen or other necessary items be they food or equipment.

    · To take orders from customers and ensure these are given to the appropriate person to execute.

    · To be totally familiar with the content of the all items on the menu.

    · To serve food and beverages in accordance with laid-down standards, but above all in a professional, courteous manner.

    · To clean tables and ensure they are cleaned as soon as it is apparent that customers have finished their food or drink with an acceptable balance between speed, yet allowing customers to finish meal without feeling rushed.

    · To ensure that customers are correctly charged, present the bill and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment.

    · At all times to be aware of and practise good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.

    · To attend to customer complaints satisfactorily.

    · To attend meetings and training courses as required.

    · To carry out on-the-job training as requested.

    Job Description

    • To clean designated areas, complying with statutory and company hygiene requirements, including floors, counters, shelves, fixtures and fittings and walls up to 1.8m.
    • To sweep floors, deck scrub and empty bins when requested to do so by the person in charge of the kitchen.
    • To clean all equipment, not only complying with statutory and company hygiene requirements, but also with all safety standards.
    • To peel, clean and cut up fruit or vegetables.
    • To measure, decant, pack and seal foodstuffs, using prescribed or laid-down measures.
    • To move, stack, carry, load or unload utensils, tolls, equipment, foodstuffs and other articles.
    • To operate standard kitchen equipment for peeling, cutting, mixing, cleaning, polishing or rubber stamping.
    • To wear any appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the company.
    • To carry out Pot Wash duties as follows
    • To load and unload the dishwasher.
    • To hand wash items as required.
    • To put away items in their correct places that have been washed and dried.
